Welcome to the official home of The Sons of St. Andrews golf club.  We are an authorized affiliate club of the Southern California Golf Association. Members receive full benefits of SCGA membership, including: USGA Handicap, eligibility for exclusive SCGA events, discounted tee times, etc. 

 

MISSION STATEMENT
The Sons of St. Andrews seeks to provide its members with an excellent golf experience through quality events and camaraderie with fellow members who are passionate about the game of golf.

 

CLUB VS LEAGUE

We think there's a distinction between a golf club and a golf league. If you are simply looking for a league to play in, you can find those anywhere. If you are interested in being a contributing member of a club, then we have a lot to offer on and off the golf course and would love to have you.

 

POLICIES
Golfers of all ability levels are welcome and compete against each other using the handicap system. If you can commit to playing semi-regularly and posting all scores according to USGA rules we'd love to have you. These policies help ensure a fair handicap system and great experience for all members.

 

PHILOSOPHY ON PAYOUTS

We seek to strike a balance between having some money on the line, without making the action so significant that it attracts the wrong kind of members or controversies. If you play regularly in our events, you will have the chance to earn a few hundred bucks over the course of the season. If you are looking for high stakes action where it's win at all costs, we probably aren't the club for you.

 

EVENTS
Our annual calendar of monthly events currently consists of 11 official tournaments, an optional Match-play tournament and our Club Championship. The majority of these events are Monday or Thursday afternoons. Tournaments typically include net and gross skins, closest to pin, payouts for flight winners, live scoring/leaderboard and more.

 

2024 Dues - $175

Membership dues go towards the following:

  • SCGA membership
  • Tournament purses
  • Closest To Pin prizes
  • Official SOSA swag
  • Club Champ & Match Play Trophies
  • Entry into SCGA TOC for Club Champ flight winners
  • Overhead costs (live scoring, tournament management software, web hosting fees, bank fees etc.)
