CLUB POLICIES

 

The following policies are in place to help everyone enjoy the club and the spirit of competition. These may be amended from time to time and are considered official whenever posted here on the club website:

 

 

  • Members must play in a minimum of 4 events to be eligible to win club championship and/or Lion’s Cup. Match play and Club Championship may count towards requirement.

  • Non qualifying members may still participate in the Club Championship but will not be eligible to win trophy, low net prize $ or entry into SCGA TOCC.
  • 3 flights will be created for tournaments by dividing the field equally based on handicap index. If an event has less than 24 eligible players, then the field may be split into only 2 flights per the discretion of the tournament director.

  • All members must establish a handicap to be eligible for individual prize $ and LC points.

  • Guests are eligible for gross/net skins, and CTP's. Guests are not eligible for low net payout. Guests without a handicap play to scratch for net skins.

  • In an effort to keep pace-of-play to a minimum, all players shall adhere to the following during tournament play:

    • Maximum strokes taken during all SOSA events shall not exceed double-net par per hole
    • Gimme's only if "inside the leather" between putter head and bottom of grip of standard length putter.
    • Lift, clean and place or "winter rules" will only be in effect if noted by tournament coordinator.

 

  • Ties will result in chopped pot for points and purse. Club Championship will be determined by playoff in event of a tie.
  • All groups must keep one official hard scorecard for their group as a backup to the live scoring via Golf Genius app.
  • Scorecards must be turned into the tournament director or pro shop.
  • Handicap chairman or tournament coordinator will have final say on any scoring disputes, rules violations etc.  

  • All payouts are tabulated throughout the season and paid in lump sum cash after the Club Championship. If players are not in attendance then they will receive season payout via PayPal within 7 days of Club Championship.

  • Tournament entry fees are determined as follows: negotiated group rate + $20 tournament fee:

    • (Skins $, CTP $ payment processing fees, tournament management software, etc)

 

  • Match play participants may play matches during SOSA events or on their own. Please contact the tournament coordinator at least 5 days in advance to request a pairing with your match-play opponent.

  • Members are responsible for posting their own scores for rounds played outside the club and maintaining an accurate and updated handicap.
